Clear expectations, proportional responses, and support that increases when the data show it's needed.

1. Multi-tiered systems of support
Tiered academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports, from universal Tier 1 practices for every student to targeted and individualized help for the few who need more.
2. Positive behavior support
PBIS and restorative practice in the classroom:
  • Prompt, redirect, reteach, provide choice
  • Behavior-specific praise
  • Documentation and family partnership before escalation
3. Master scheduling
Building the master schedule as a support structure: where students and teachers land shapes what help is possible.
4. Early-warning data
Research on disengagement signals across the seventh- and eighth-grade years: noticing students who are drifting early enough to act.

About me

I'm Carlee, an assistant principal at South Junior High in the Anaheim Union High School District. Before that I was an assistant principal in South San Francisco, and I've worked in schools in both California and Colorado.

The Virtual Student Support Coach is free to connect. Here's what it is and how to use it.

1. What does it do?
Describe a student behavior and it suggests what to try next: prevention, exact language to use, what to reinforce, and when your school's procedures call for documentation, family contact, or administrator support.
2. How do I connect it to Claude?
Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, then paste: https://virtualstudentsupportcoach.carleerasmussen.com/mcp
3. How do I connect it to ChatGPT?

4. Which schools does it know?
Baxter Elementary (TK–5) and South Junior High (7–8). For other schools it offers general MTSS/PBIS guidance and won't invent site procedures.
5. Does it store student information?
No. It holds only school procedure documents. Describe behavior without names or identifying details.
6. Does it replace administrators?
No. It's a thought partner for classroom next steps. Safety concerns and major behaviors go straight to your school's administrator procedures.
